Backstage with Staging Diva for March 2012

By Debra Gould, The Staging Diva >>

If you’re one of the 400 new stagers or aspiring stagers who joined the Staging Diva community over the past month, welcome! I don’t know about you, but I really enjoyed that extra day in February.

I’ve been busy with home staging and color consultation projects, mentoring home stagers, interviews for CBS Radio and Question the Rules, writing articles for my own blog and Century21, and building a new website.

February was also a great month for Staging Diva Dialog. In our last Q & A call we talked about taking great portfolio shots, writing and distributing press releases, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest, finding the right neighborhoods for your staging business, dealing with fear, and being successful as a part-time stager. I also did a role play of how to convince a reluctant home seller to spend money on your recommendations.

Whether you’re a Staging Diva student or not, I hope you’ll join me for the March 15th Dialog call to ask me anything you’d like in order to help your staging business grow!

I’m also coming to terms with my teen heading off to college this year which will mark a huge change in my life— part of which will be the ability to travel to speak to groups beginning in September.

You see, with every life change, new possibilities open up. It doesn’t mean we don’t have emotions about what we have to let go of, but we can also choose to put our energies into new directions that will serve us going forward.

In this month’s posts: you’ll learn how a signature color can be repeated throughout a home, discover time and money secrets from a Staging Diva, get a peek at my last staging project, find out the biggest lie that holds most people back from living their purpose, and meet 5 Staging Diva Graduates!

Don’t forget to send me any questions or story ideas you’d like to see covered in this blog. Without that input, I’m only guessing about what you want to learn!

I hope you find my business tips helpful as you get out there and take advantage of the spring real estate market!
