Home Stagers – How to get started on Twitter

By Debra Gould, The Staging Diva >>

If you’re a home stager and you haven’t yet checked out Twitter, you should. It’s a really fast-paced way to keep in touch with other business people and learn what they’re up to.

This is not the place to look for high school friends and share photos of your kids and dog.

If you’re using Twitter, make sure your “Twitter Name” is either your name or your business name, otherwise your participation will have little marketing benefit to you! For example, my Twitter Name is StagingDiva.

Major objectives of being on this site are to build your credibility as a home stager and increase your presence on the Internet.

How to get started on Twitter and build awareness for your home staging business:

1. Sign up for your free account.
2. Add your photo (this is key if you want anyone to follow you).
3. Write your short profile.
4. Follow me and others.
5. Start to post your own updates, make many of them about staging, to showcase your expertise in this area.

Staging Diva Twitter GradeI’m proud of my current twitter grade which is based on the number of followers I have, the power of my network, the pace of my updates and other factors.

Out of 1,289,933 Twitter users, I’m currently ranked 20,138. I hope to see this continue to climb!

I save my most in-depth tips to using Social Media for Staging Diva Graduates and cover these in Business Accelerator Coaching, Staging Diva Network and Staging Diva Dialog.

See you on Twitter!

Twitter is marketing gold! If your not on there get on there. I was very sceptical to begin with but am amzed by it. Twitter can really help open doors and avenues for your business and th e best thing is it’s free and easy. What more could you ask for?
