Home Staging Sold This House in 90 Minutes

By Debra Gould, The Staging Diva >>

mothersdaymadnessSQ2011_200 Am I getting especially sentimental because it was just Mother’s Day and my “baby” lives in a different city?

The reality that she’s really moved out is only hitting me now. Even though she’s been in college for 2 years, I thought we’d have our summers together.

Now I realize we won’t.

We are just back from a week in Paris together. I was last there in the 1980s before I started my first business. It was wonderful to hear her gasp when she first glimpsed the Eiffel Tower.Just as I did when I was only 9 years older than she is now.Paris was a feast for the senses and a chance for us to catch up.

Everything from pastries to handbags are displayed so beautifully. The architecture is exquisite, and art everywhere you look.

My trip has inspired me to get back to painting and surface pattern design.

I’m also getting ready for my next Stand Up Comedy performance June 1. If you missed the video of my very first show in February, you can catch it here..

It has surprised me how much my new creative outlets are also helping me with my staging and redesign business, as well as my writing for Home Staging Business Report.

Listening to an interview recently, they were talking about the importance of the process of creation, and how it’s not just about what you’re creating. That makes more sense to me now. What about you?

In this month’s home staging articles:
